Terms of Service

Last updated 17 August 2026

These terms govern use of Ceremony Hub, a business platform for Australian marriage celebrants operated by us ("Ceremony Hub", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform — as a celebrant or as a couple invited into a celebrant's couple portal — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

Ceremony Hub helps marriage celebrants manage bookings, ceremony planning, questionnaires, contracts, invoicing, and the paperwork involved in solemnising a marriage in Australia, and gives the couples they're marrying a portal to complete their part of that process. It's a business tool for celebrants — it doesn't provide legal advice and isn't a substitute for a celebrant's own professional judgement or their obligations under the Marriage Act 1961 (Cth).

Accounts

Celebrant accounts are intended for practising marriage celebrants and the staff they authorise. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Couple accounts are created by invitation from a celebrant using Ceremony Hub for their wedding, and are scoped to that booking.

Free trial and subscriptions

Ceremony Hub is currently offered to celebrants under a free trial while the platform is in beta. If and when paid subscriptions are introduced, pricing and billing terms will be presented separately and you won't be charged without agreeing to them first.

Celebrant responsibilities

As the celebrant, you remain solely responsible for the legal validity of any ceremony you perform, including lodging a correct Notice of Intended Marriage and meeting every other requirement of the Marriage Act 1961 (Cth). Ceremony Hub is a record-keeping and workflow tool to help you do that — it doesn't check legal compliance on your behalf, and you should independently verify anything a couple enters through the platform before relying on it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Ceremony Hub for anything unlawful, don't attempt to access another celebrant's or couple's data without authorisation, and don't attempt to interfere with or circumvent the platform's security. You're responsible for the accuracy of information you or your couples enter, and for having the right to store any documents or content you upload.

Third-party connections

Ceremony Hub lets celebrants optionally connect their own email inbox and Google Calendar. Those connections are made with your own credentials or Google account, are used only to power the features you connect them for, and remain subject to that provider's own terms — see our Privacy Policy for what's fetched and stored.

Intellectual property

We own the Ceremony Hub platform and software. You own the content you and your couples put into it — booking details, questionnaire answers, vows, and similar — and we only use it to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Ceremony Hub available and reliable, but don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and may change, add to, or discontinue features as the platform develops. We'll make reasonable efforts to let celebrants know before a change materially affects how they use the service.

Liability

Ceremony Hub is provided as a business tool, on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform, and our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, during the free trial, is nil). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Termination

You can stop using Ceremony Hub and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Data is handled on closure as described in the "How long we keep it" section of our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Ceremony Hub changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
